Shannon Silva, DC

Dr. Shannon Silva is a board certified Chiropractor and an executive member of the AllStar Health Care Team.

Growing up, Shannon always knew she wanted to be in the healthcare field. Like most children, she loved animals and dreamt of becoming a veterinarian or even a surgeon. She was raised in Ohio, under the auspices of her mother and her father, Dr. James Silva, who is a chiropractor and founder of the multi-disciplinary practice AllStar Health Care. Her family relocated to San Antonio in 2001 and has called Texas their home ever since.

In 2005, Shannon graduated high school with honors and at the top of her class. Soon after, she began college classes at Trinity University, then at UTSA, with the mindset of becoming a Neurosurgeon. However, after driving home from a final exam, Shannon fell victim to a serious three-car, hit-and-run accident leaving her whole body in excruciating pain. It was halfway through her chiropractic treatment, under her father, when Shannon realized that she, too, wanted to be a chiropractor. She then began a fast-track program to receive her bachelor’s and her doctorate degree. In 2012, Shannon graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Shortly after, Dr. Shannon walked across the stage again, earning her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the same university.

Since her graduation, Dr. Shannon has been an integral member of the AllStar Team. Having a mind for analytics and a heart for healing, Dr. Shannon prides herself on compassionate wellness and prevention services. “I have a heart for helping people and I love to smile –smiling’s my favorite,” says Dr. Shannon, who receives daily hugs from all of her patients.

Dr. Shannon is a member of Alpha Delta Upsilon, a Professional Chiropractic Sorority honoring the motto “To Give. To Love. To Serve.”
